Booking and Payment
Are there advantages to booking directly?
Yes! When you book directly through our website, you will receive our Jägerhof dollars. $10 per room per night. You can redeem these at our hotel restaurant and bar for food and drinks.
What are the cancellation policies?
Our cancellation policies vary by season. You can find the exact terms during the booking process or in your booking confirmation.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit cards as well as cash payments in Swiss Francs (CHF).
Is a deposit required?
A deposit is only necessary in the case of a group booking. You would be contacted directly by us in this case.
Location & Arrival
How far is the hotel from the train station?
The Zermatt train station is about a 15-minute walk away.
Is there a shuttle service?
Yes, we offer a complimentary shuttle service for arrivals and departures between 07:30 and 21:00.
How far are the ski lifts?
The valley station towards Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is reachable in about 10 minutes on foot. The stations Sunnegga and Gornergrat can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot.
The nearest ski bus stop is at Kirchbrücke and is a 3-minute walk away.
Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Yes, complimentary luggage storage is of course possible.
Is Zermatt car-free?
Yes, Zermatt is car-free. Access is via train or taxi. Cars must be parked in Täsch, from where the train or taxi will take you to Zermatt. Please feel free to contact us upon arrival for a transfer from the train station/taxi stand in Zermatt to the hotel.
Check-in and Check-out
When is check-in possible?
Check-in is possible from 15:00. If you arrive earlier, your luggage can be stored with us free of charge.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is until 10:30. A late check-out is only possible spontaneously, subject to availability.
When is the reception staffed?
We are available daily from 07:30 to 21:00.
Rooms & Apartments
Does Jägerhof offer both rooms and apartments?
Yes, we offer hotel rooms as well as apartments with hotel service.
Do all rooms have a balcony or Matterhorn view?
No, only certain room categories have a balcony or Matterhorn view. You can find a detailed overview of our room categories and descriptions here.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Are baby cots or extra beds available?
Baby cots or extra beds are available depending on the room category. Please inquire in advance.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
No, there is no air conditioning in the entire hotel building.
Are there accessible rooms?
Some of our double rooms are accessible. Please inquire in advance.
Breakfast, Bar & Restaurant
Is breakfast included in the price?
Yes, breakfast is always included with hotel rooms. For the apartments, breakfast can be added optionally.
When is breakfast served?
Daily from 07:00 to 11:30.
Is there a restaurant or bar in the hotel?
Yes, we have a hotel restaurant, a hotel bar, and our fondue chalet.
Can half board also be booked?
Yes, you can also book half board.
Pets
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome here. The surcharge is CHF 20.00 per night.
Services
Is there a ski room or ski boot dryer and a bike room in summer?
Yes, a ski room with a ski boot dryer is available all year round.
In summer, this also serves as a bike room including charging facilities for e-bikes.
Is there a wellness area or sauna?
No, there are no spa facilities in the hotel.
Where can I rent ski and bike equipment?
We recommend Matterhorn Sport. With three locations spread throughout the village, they are easily accessible from anywhere. We will gladly provide you with a 10% discount flyer for rentals on-site at check-in.
Do I get discounts for mountain lift tickets and can I buy them directly at the hotel?
Unfortunately, no discounts are offered in Zermatt. The mountain lifts use a dynamic pricing model. The earlier you book, the more likely you are to get the ticket at more favourable conditions.
Tickets can be purchased online or on-site at the respective valley station.
Is there a coffee machine in the apartments?
Yes, our apartments are equipped with a Delizio coffee machine. Capsules can be purchased on-site. There are no coffee machines available in the hotel rooms.
