Location
The Hotel Jägerhof is centrally located. You can enjoy the peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes away from the lively village centre. You can reach all important starting points, such as the train station, the Gornergrat, Sunnegga, and Klein Matterhorn cable cars, on foot in just over 15 minutes. The ski bus can be reached in less than 5 minutes.
We would be happy to order a public taxi for you that will take you comfortably to your desired location. For your arrival and departure, we will gladly pick you up with our hotel shuttle free of charge.
By Train
With the construction of the Lötschberg tunnel, travelling by train has become easier and shorter. You can now reach Zermatt comfortably, with only one change in Visp or Brig, depending on your departure point. From there, the modern narrow-gauge railway of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn takes you right into the village.

By Car
Zermatt is car-free. Access for private vehicles is only allowed up to Täsch (5 km before Zermatt). Therefore, please leave your car in one of the many parking garages and spaces in Täsch. Various taxi companies and shuttle trains run every 20 minutes.
Upon your arrival in Zermatt, we will pick you up with our own electric vehicle.

Shuttle Service
From 07:30 to 21:00, we offer a shuttle service, subject to availability, between the train station/taxi stand in Zermatt and the hotel. Please call us shortly before your arrival at +41 (0)27 966 38 00.
Zermatt: The car-free village
Zermatt is car-free and can only be reached by train or taxi for tourists. Carriages, along with electric vehicles and bicycles, are the only permitted means of transport. To move around effortlessly, two electric bus lines are available, serving all major hubs.
